Guideline for Xiqiao Green Path management and service

  • 2. According to Tourism Management Regulations of Guangdong Province, Tourism Management Regulations of Foshan City, Detailed Rules for Quality Inspection of Green Path Management, Detailed Rules for Quality Inspection of Environmental Sanitation at Green Path and Detailed Rules for Quality Inspection of Green Path Greening Management, by putting the practical condition of our city into consideration, this guideline for management and service is provided in order to adapt to the development of Green Path Tourism for Bicycle Exercise and Recreation (hereafter referred as "Green Path") and to improve the security of Green Path, service and management ability. By doing so, tourists can be served in a standardized and functional manner and the legal rights of tourists (group) and operators of bicycle renting in Green Path can be guaranteed. Also, the economic, social and environmental benefits of Green Path can be unified and the tourism industry of our city can be developed faster and better.
  • 3. Parks of Green Path should have a parking area that accords with the operation scale of Green Path tourist reception. The ground should be flat after being processed. It should be convenient for vehicles to come in and out and have clear parking signs, especially distinct signs for parking space for the disabled. The parking plot is required to be ecological and environmental-friendly.
  • 4. The entrance of Green Path Station should have sign board at a proper position, including Industrial and Commercial Business License, Tax Registration Certificate and telephone numbers for complaint, information inquiry and calling the police. Make sure the certificates are legally valid. Inquiry service counter should be appropriately set near the entrance. The direction signs of Green Path route should be complete and easy to read. Operators from different communities and districts should actively improve coordination and system of abutting, safeguarding and return of bicycles between service points in order to provide convenience for riders. At the same time, methods of increasing intelligence should be actively explored.
  • 5. The facilities of bicycle renting service points should comply with regulations, having reasonable layout and arrangement, simple and appropriate decoration and organized counter and shelves. Signs for service explanation should be eye-catching and with Chinese/English text that has correctly translated and spelt. The rate should be clearly stated on the price list and Credibility Convention Card should be placed. The explanation of bicycle's speed change is also required. Low check-out counter is also required.
  • 6. Public information symbols should comply with the national standard. They should be complete, without fading, contamination, dirt and metallic light.
  • 7. Toilets should be reasonably distributed, with separated toilets for both genders. Toilet seats should have reasonable proportions. Special toilet seats for the disabled should be equipped. Toilets should have clear signs, good ventilation and lighting, hand-washing devices and water flushing devices.
  • 8. Care about the cleanness and maintenance of sanitary facilities in Green Path area. They should be clean, organized and hygiene. The equipment of operation areas must not have damage, stains, lumber, waterlogging (damp) and peculiar smell. Litter bins should be reasonably distributed with proper distance between and refuse classifications. The appearance and shape of bins should be well designed, clean and undamaged.
  • 9. Shall have security facilities in Green Path. It is required to have necessary appliance and equipment for fire safety and fire control. Dangerous sections should be marked by caution line and warning signs. The operators of bicycle renting service should conduct safety detection for the bicycles every day and record the safety check results before leasing the bicycle and after having it back.
  • 10. The greening areas of stations (wharf) and those along the Green Path should have certain amount of green plants and flowers accordingly in order to unify the purpose of greening, beautification and art up with purification and humanization. Greening objects should be well pruned. Made sure that there are no dead twigs and withered leaves, dirt and lumber that is inappropriately piled and obstacles that cause safety threats to tourists.
  • 11. Public rest area should have enough space for tourists (or group) and accord with the business scale of the specific operating sites. It should be organized, clean and hygiene. The entrance and exit should have wheelchair access and blind way.
  • 12. Special tourism shopping places (Shiduo Store) of Green Path Station should provide casual products and food that highlight local characteristics and suitable for Green Path Tourism and offer customers with services of purchase booking, posting and consignment.
  • 13. The tourist inquiry and service center of Green Path Station should comply with the applicable regulations of Guangzhou City Tourism Administration.
  • 14. Business operators in Green Path should establish complete management system including safety management. The system should be comprehensive and the management should be standardized. Necessary professional security staff is also required to patrol and maintain the order of Green Path and tourism safety. Shall establish scheme of safety incident treatment and emergency rescue mechanism and gradually set up CCTV monitoring system and public radio system.
  • 15. Without breaking the rules, certain amount of Farmhouse Enjoyment dining and recreation facilities as well as operating places for convenient baked food should be provided along Green Path route and surroundings in order to meet tourists' needs. To protect the ecological environment, signs that remind tourists not to damage farmers' fruit trees and plants should be placed along the route. Also, ancient trees and sites of relics should be protected and utilized for good purposes. Tourism products that demonstrate folk customs should be developed and promotion board of popular science knowledge should be presented.
  • 16. Green Path stations should have convenient transportation nearby, including regular buses or scheduled service for passengers. Advanced management equipment should be placed between stations as much as possible in order to improve connection between, provide convenience to tourists' riding and operators' maintenance of bicycles.
  • 17. Within the range of Green Path, cars and motorcycles are prohibited and boundary caution line and signs of "No Motor Vehicle" should be placed.
  • 18. Operators of Green Path should love their job and have good sense of professional responsibility. The principle is "Guests first, Service first, Credit first and Safety first". Equally treat tourists at home and abroad, and tourists with different levels of consumption. Operators should love their country, people and community; protect national interest and the collective image of Nanhai tourism. Insist noble ethics and maintain socialist spiritual civilization. Return lost properties and be ready to help others.
  • 19. Operating staff should be active, enthusiastic, careful, patient and sincere. Be ready to see, say and do anything that is necessary for providing good service. Provide service with smiles and amiableness. Correctly understand and use etiquette of greeting, answering, welcoming and seeing-off. Respect the religious beliefs and customs of tourists. Voluntarily give precedence to tourists without scrambling for the road.
  • 20. Respect and modest language should be used during service. Persist in using polite languages like "Hello", "Welcome", "What can I do for you", "Sorry", "Thank you" and "See you next time" accordingly. Don't use words like "don't know", "haven't" or "no way". Try the best to solve tourists' problems and difficulties. Speak Mandarin with appropriate tones in a respectful and friendly manner.
  • 21. Service staff should wear uniforms that are decent, clean and tidy, with name badge. Serve tourists in an efficient way without dilatoriness and delay.
